Facilitator News 9/22-- General Meeting!

Dear DA facilitators and those who are interested in becoming facilitators,

You are invited to the next “DA Facilitators General Meeting”, which means that we will be together and connect with each other, discuss important topics and make some decisions.
We will form an agenda prior to and during the meeting. Please feel free to write at Igor@deepadaptation.info (or to Igor via Slack) about a topic or a process you want to propose in advance. Tell also if you are interested in hosting or co-hosting our upcoming meeting - it will be great to do it together.
We will meet on September 28 at 14:00-16:00 (UTC) - your time here

     Agenda so far:
  • “Borders and definitions” workgroup proposal discussion. What are “core offerings” and why are they “core”? Who is a “DA facilitator” and how to become one? What is that around which we build a community of practice?
  • “Events scheduling and calendar” workgroup preliminary results
  • DA Facilitation web of docs (navigation for facilitators)
  • The training of original DA facilitated offerings for new and experienced facilitators (presentation and discussion of this idea).
  • New live gatherings DAF circle and news about local groups during the Deep Live Gathering
  • Mutual care circles hosting and other facilitation for DAF community

You can find brief results of the last DA facilitators general meeting and the table with actual workgroups here

Grief Circle - pilot facilitated offering (Community of Practice) - needs Facilitator participation and input. Tues. Sept. 30, 17:00-19:00 UTC (6-8 pm BST).
Terry LePage will be piloting a Grief Circle, with poetry, music and ritual, and less talking.  Many (most?) traditional cultures have regular grieving rituals, to metabolize the pain of caring in the face of inevitable losses.  Let’s restore that practice! The last half hour is for feedback from facilitators. Zoom link (revised):  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87376679986.

“Deep Live Gathering” needs facilitators and offline-hosts
21-26 of October offline gatherings (interconnected online) will happen in different countries. We already have applications from Germany and different states in the US. People wish to join offline gatherings if they happen near their places. If you are ready to become a host or to help with facilitation of such a meeting in your country (or have any questions about it) please contact the Gathering preparation team via the website.
On the 10th of September, 14.00 UTC there will be a zoom-call for possible Deep Live Gathering local hosts and facilitators. If you think that you might be one, you are invited (it is OK to ask questions and to make this decision after the meeting:)

Igor is happy to share some conceptual thoughts after two months in DA:

- The “Two Wheels of a Chariot”
Accidental essay for DA blog on trauma, inner work, buddhist meditation and compassionate action: https://www.deepadaptation.info/blog/the-two-wheels-of-a-chariot

- Biocentric paradigm shift, compassionate action, and post-crisis hope
