Deep Listening for Decolonising-- Social Identities: Visible & Invisible

DAF FAcilitators are warmly invited to join this ‘Deep Listening for Decolonising in DAF’ gathering. This event is open to all DAF Facilitators as well as people who took the DAF Anti-racism training.
Both BIPoC and White people are welcome to attend if they wish. Black, Indigenous and People of Color allies are welcome with an understanding this is a white-centered, and therefore not always safe, space. The gathering will draw on aspects of deep listening and deep relating practices (with which some of you may already be familiar).
For this particular event, you are asked to complete the Social Identities worksheet offered in the message below before the event to explore identities (both visible and invisible). Please complete it a couple of days before the session. The exploration is individual and you will not be asked to share it with anyone else.

DA Volunteer Community Call

https://everytimezone.com/s/64da3825The first hour of these calls will be dedicated to reconnecting with one another, getting to know new people, and information-sharing. Core team members will be present to answer any questions about what is happening in DAF at large.
In the second hour, call participants will be invited to join breakout rooms (Open Space style) with whatever other volunteers they need to discuss agenda items. This series takes the place of the “confirmed volunteers” calls.

Join us for a DA facilitators circle entirely dedicated to Deep Relating. We will have a full (2-hour) Deep Relating session and at the end, we will take 30 minutes to speak about how we can bring more of this experience to the DA community.

Interested in a DA Grief Circle?
We are hoping to create a recurring experiential grief circle. Its purpose is to give those of us from cultures that do not tend grief well (that’s most of us) a regular time to release and process our grief. Not a long workshop, just an hour or a little more. I am learning that making regularly scheduled space for grieving helps us work through our backlog, get unstuck, and frees us to feel other things more fully. Please contact me if you want to be part of the team that creates, facilitates, or test-drives a Grief Circle.“Did I forget…?”
I have met one-on-one with over 50 people in DAF and sometimes lose track of a promised followup. I am not unreasonably busy, but I do lose details occasionally. Please do not wait for me to remember!– just send me a clear reminder and I’ll follow up ASAP.

The DAF Professions’ Network events function is still in use!
It is worth creating an event on deepadaptation.ning.com/events the month before it happens so that event will be seen by subscribers to the Professions Network Events email. People do see these and we do sometimes get attendees. The email, written by Dorian, comes out around the end of each month. Here is what the last one looked like.
